It’s only been *checks calendar* a month and a half since I did anything for the blog?!?! That changes today. Some of the cluing in this one’s a bit stretchy, but I think you’ll understand why.

This grid was inspired by confidently plonking in a wrong answer on last Sunday’s LA Times puzzle.

It’s been a pretty quiet August here on the blog. Work and life have gotten a bit in the way, but I’m hoping to have more content here in September.🤞🏻
Quick🔌: you can still check out my collaboration with Will Eisenberg for another few days at the LA Times website. You can also purchase my recent AVCX Classic “Chicago Blues” for the low, low price of $1. Finally, I had two Universal Themeless Sundays run this past month! Check them out at the Puzzle Society.

It’s been far too long since I put a mini on the blog. I’ve been spending way more time focusing on full-size grids. July was a fantastic month for publications. I had an LA Times byline with the prolific Amie Walker, a Universal collab with the brilliant Geoffrey Schorkopf, and another solo Universal puzzle. All of these can be found at the Puzzle Society. Check them out if you haven’t solved! I’m really looking forward to what’s coming out in August. See you next month.

This puzzle idea was inspired while working on another puzzle with my friend and occasional collaborator Kieran J. Boyd. Hope you enjoy!
